This two-day course is for professionals who work with parents and their children. It looks at both the theory and practice of parenting education. It includes advanced communication skills, positive discipline strategies, emotional literacy and empathic parenting skills, child led play, descriptive praise and stress management. It also covers social learning theory, systemic family therapy interventions, problems in child development and communication with distressed children.

This two-day course is for professionals who work with parents and their children, interested in running the Parenting Toolkit in a group setting or with individuals. This builds on Part 1 Parenting Toolkit training and develops workers' skills and understanding of group work theory, group process, facilitation skills and parent engagement. Within this it deepens the skills learnt from Part 1 in advanced communication skills, positive discipline strategies, emotional literacy and empathic parenting skills, child led play, descriptive praise and stress management.
